Week 13

Woops, I did not up-date the blog for 5 days...SUMIMASEN.

18:30-
Hiragana : RA (LA) RI (LI) RU(LU) RE(LE) RO(LO)

Survival Japanese: Where is toilet? Toile wa doko desuka?

ooo...we did more things in the class...

19:30-
Many Kanji...and we talked about School holidays in the UK and Japan!
In Japan, 4 gatsu (April) is the month of START!

***10th April (TUE), the Japanese course is CLOSED***
We will re-open on 17th (TUE) as usual.

By the way, we will have an event "Japanese course @ BUZZ" sometime soon!
It will be open to anyone, so if you are interested in meeting people from the course, please join us.

One of our mates, Paul-san, he had a live-show in York.

Week 12

WOW, March is nearly finishing!

It must be nice to go to Japan for "HANAMI"!

The Week 12, we did followings...

Beginner:

1-Breakfast, 2-Lunch 3-Dinner
4-This pen is blue, 5-What do you like? 6-I like flowers

Improver:

1-I will go to the football game even it rains (even arrows rain!!!)
2-Even I can understand that sort of things
3-Is Japanese interesting?
4-the survival of the fittest,the law of the jungle,dog-eat-dog/the beauties of nature

Well...I said this as an example for "JAKUNIKUKYOSHOKU(No.4)
"Lion eats rabit...and rabit eats...what?"
then Paul-san told me "Rabit eats carrots!!!" yes, it's right. We laughed! I liked the moment so much.

I also mentioned about "TORA-san". Check "Fu-ten no tra-san" movie and it will give you an idea about "SHITA-MACHI".

Week 11



In Beginners course, we studied MA MI MU ME MO and parts of face!!!

"MIMI"=ear, ears
"ME"=eye, eyes
"KUCHI"=mouth
"HOPPETA/HOHO/HOO"=cheek
"HA"=teeth, tooth


In Improvers course, we did casual conversation about "TRAVELING IN JAPAN"
Look back our life in Japan...where you went. How do you go? How long does it take?

Week 12 will be held as usual at Borders on 27th March(TUE) from 18:30!

Thank you!

I just wanted to report your contribution for charities!

As many of you already know, the fee for the Japanese course is £3.
However, 50p out of £3 will be donated to charities through HSBC bank in York.

I have already donated £20 total for 2 charities and wanted to thank you all.

One day off in April

Do you have any plans for Easter?

I thought that many of you might be tired after Easter...and I decided to take A DAY OFF for the Japanese Course at Borders.

The day-off will be on 10th April (Tue)!

The course will be held as usual (@18:30 for beginner, @19:30 for improver) before and after the 10th.

Week 10

Thank you very much for coming to my Japanese Conversation Course!

Beginners are improving their Japanese speaking/writing skills very quickly!

Improvers are learning more Kanji!!!

However, the size of class has been down-sizing...compare to a few weeks ago. I hope more people will be interested in learning Japanese and join my course!

?What did we do today?

-Beginner-
Verbs:YOMU->YOMI MASU, N*(noun)+SURU(verb form)-->N+SHI MASU
Culture:Name of countries (ex:China->Chugoku England->Igirisu)
Other:TO ZAI NAN BOKU ---> HIGASHI(East), NISHI(West), MINAMI(South), KITA(North)

Homework is...Find names of your body!

Kanji....Parts of Body "ME"(Eye)
Nihon no Kaisha-->Kaicho, Shachou, Buchou, Kachou...

Homework is...Find proverbs with "ME"!
